"Catch Report" Not!!!!

Bit of a non event today guys, went to my chosen mark only to find the small carpark was full due to people going to the beach not far from where i wanted to go.
So back over Pendeen way to try and salvage the day, got down to the mark unloaded the gear and realised my spinning reel was missing doh!
Chucked out a mackerel fillet and tried spinning with my other beachcaster and slosh 20 but gave up after half hour just a wee bit to heavy.
The mackerel fillet was just skin when i brought it in with a spider crab leg attached .
Time to move round and try again, put a nice mackie head an guts in the rough and a fillet on the sand to my left. 10 mins on this mark and Mr an Mrs seal show up 20ft from my rod tip looking very well fed lol!
Lost a few sets of gear in the rough so decided to try "spinning" (slosh again) a few different soft lures with no success.
Changed the lure to a small mackerel pattern rubber eel and a fish first cast, pollack around 1lb saved the day from a blank.
Came up without much of a fight, sure he felt sorry for me lol!
Returned to fight another day of course!
Fished til just after high tide and called it a day.
Not many fish around but what a cracking day to be out on the Cornish coast.

Nice one Steve,
At least it wasn't a blank.
I'm looking forward to day out on the Royal Charlotte with my Mum and Fishpaul on Monday. Hopefuly it will be a productive day. The Skipper is known to be a bit grumpy but he takes you to the fish! I will post a report either Monday night or tuesday morning.

Re: "Catch Report" Not!!!!

Hope you have a good day mate, feeling worn out after today. Hence my post on Rucksacks, carrying way to much gear at the mo to try and cover all options.

Re: "Catch Report" Not!!!!

Sure is Pingu, a lot of places down here are no go areas if the sun is shinning. Have to try back at the other mark later in the week when high tide is into the dark.
Time to get the plugs/lures into a small bag and go rockhopping again.

Re: "Catch Report" Not!!!!

Good to get out though, Solution down there for getting away from the crowds is to take your cliff absailing gear!
