Old Passage, Aust - Sat 23rd Thought I'd give Old Passage a go today for the first time. Fished at the mouth of a small inlet between the new bridge and the old ferry jetty using squid and lug cocktails. The result - a blank without as much as a bite. Was good to get out none the less. Tight lines. __________________ 2012: None Lifetime: Codling, Grey Gurnard, Mackerel, Pollock, Pouting, Wrasse, Scad.

Re: Old Passage, Aust - Sat 23rd Just good to be out in the fresh air. My first bass still eludes me. __________________ 2012: None Lifetime: Codling, Grey Gurnard, Mackerel, Pollock, Pouting, Wrasse, Scad.

Re: Old Passage, Aust - Sat 23rd I have tried Aust so many times over the last few weeks. Not a bite. I did see someone pull in a sizeable bass though. He reckoned it was from about 100 -120 yrds cast. Well out of my range.

I've recently started a new job in Bristol so I may be giving it another go when the tides are right. __________________ 2012: None Lifetime: Codling, Grey Gurnard, Mackerel, Pollock, Pouting, Wrasse, Scad. |

Re: Old Passage, Aust - Sat 23rd Give me a shout - we can blank togethjer!! I,m off to france to first two wks in Aug but afterwards, just give me a shout.. I,m only 7 miles away from Aust so can be down in 12 mins. Got surrounded by stupid cows the other week, nosey gits. One in particular with great big horns decided to play chicken with me and would not budge. I thought if the stupid animal decides to have a go at me I,ll have to jump in the bloody channel.

Re: Old Passage, Aust - Sat 23rd Ha ha! I will do that. I'm the same sort of time away from where I work and could pop down after work if the tides are right. There were what looked like resident wild horses there on Saturday which looked they could be loose cannons too. Interesting place to fish (or should that be blank). __________________ 2012: None Lifetime: Codling, Grey Gurnard, Mackerel, Pollock, Pouting, Wrasse, Scad.

Re: Old Passage, Aust - Sat 23rd Like said earlier it's good to get out and a fish is a bonus. I'd rather be sat on a beach staring at a blank than at home watching boring TV.
