Lilstock yesterday

Fished from low tide up to almost high tide - not a knock. Best peeler crab and fresh rag did not entice the damned fishies to take a punt.
Everybody seemed to be having the same luck.
Was told Tuesday was a smutt festival, people were pulling out up to 14lbers one after the other.

Reckon I should change my aftershave, cos when I,m around - no fish.

Glorious day though. Not even tackle lost.

It is frustrating Dave - not quite sure what is missing. Seem to be doing exactly the same as everybody else apart from catching fish.

I have n,t caught a single fish for four months.

im off to stolford common saturday hoping for a smut or a bass,been told 'big bait = big fish tactics nearly always produce here so will see!.hope there are a few 14 lb-ers saturday! :)

Good luck there, mate. Hope they are back. Hoping to talk the missus to go for a pub lunch, afternoon fish type day on Sunday and pop along to Lilstock again for the afternoon.

Dont know who told you that but I think theres a little bit of "embelishment" going on lol

Stolford can be very hit and miss at the best of times so please dont build yourself up to much only to go away disapointed!
I fished the reef in front of the power station this afternoon, I may have had 1 knock or it couldve been weed!
Which part of Somerset do you come from? I'm from Street but live in Bridgwater which is dead handy for the Channel
