well 3 reminders
1 got a big weekend pass for comp
2 my cars a jonah
3 said rods would go on ebay if blanked

so big weekend comp anyfish anywhere ( except lsd)
and boy did me and Si get it wrong

2 start with i drove both days ( new car = fun = give it some ) but as said before is car a jonah as 4 trips before = 0 fish

friday night we tried Branscombe
weed weed and a tad more weed and big breakers as well , si managed an undersized huss

saturday
thought was BCand lilstock reefs over low as weather /wind ok
decided after a few phone calls to try somewhere different
shurton reefs
so after asking several people ( includeing some we met in van with angling tops [24/7??] )
we found the track
and of we went
over the field and first view of the mark



another otherworldly mark as the channel has many



over these great slabby rocks







well there were 8 of us ther and appaerently the conditions were not great, a fair westerly was blowin and surf and weed

but we gave it till just after low , but admitted defeat ..this was not our day/comp
left the plymouth guys to carry on

so headed off home in now dirty( and at last smelling like a tackle waggon huzzah) jonah car



and on way home find winds dropped and southcoast is lush grrrr

but thank the lord for late licences as at least made a beer with friends in town despite dig diversion as motorway closed

so do i ebay the rods or the car?????????????

Keep the rods,give the car a good thrashing (Bazil Faulty style) with a tree branch ,will make you feel much better

i recon the cars a jinx with it being new and not smelling like a fishing wagon.

I'd open a pack of sandeels and leave in the boot for a couple of days just to get that good ripe tinge every time you open the boot...the fish will never now its a new car...

it works honest...in fact i'm going to do exactly the same to mikes new van this afternoon!!!!

as an aside, as you go down to the beach theres a huge sand bay betwen reefs and lilstock looked good for the ray, has anyone tried there as looked good,,or just stick to the reefs?
