quick spin for mackeral

i have just spent a quick hour and a half spinning for mackeral from goodrington prom paignton. it was more like spinning for weed tonight though.
the tide was already at top when i arrived and i fished a little way down. i had to leave just before dusk unfortunately. from what i could see noone caught anything. the water was filthy with weed and visibilty in the water was less then two foot. there seemed to be about twenty anglers trying every method from feathers to float and spinning. no sign of the usual maks or gar. i will try again and let you know.
