 minehead = different venue same result well hopes were high of something big and flat from last nights trip( as by god we have put some effort in lately) weather was good also surpriseingly warm ( had leggings on but was too hot really) a big low tide, minimal surf and so off to minehead it was for the midnight low i've only ever fished there once before and didnt like the rocks then, cant say they were better last night  , they are big ankle busting rocks some the size of tackle boxes, and they are not stable eitherbut eventually the tide drops and you reach sand  well from the off it was dogs, and more dogs sandeel was there preferred food on my rods, where as bluey was richies bait of choice no ray were harmed ( or caught) in this mission, we gave up at 2 as the tide was doing the usual BC rage in and we were back up on the rocks tally was 14 dogs to rich ( and a greedy whiteing on a 3/0) i was about 10 as didnt count ( they just seem in plague proprtions everywhere at the moment  )amazeingly didnt lose any gear or break another ankle big thanks for driveing rich( as i'd had a few at the rugby in day   )roll on friday and the welsh rays    dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |

| Re: minehead = different venue same result Dogfish are a pain in the arris at the moment- rats of the sea! Got to catch them to try for the rays though. | Re: minehead = different venue same result It was a cracking evening, even if the target species didn't turn up. We found out a touch more about the mark and I even managed to leave with more lead than I turned up with! That doesn't happen very often. | Re: minehead = different venue same result Know what you mean about the boulders between Gasworks and Whitemark. One night in the dark attempted a session there and gave up as just didnt like the venue. Still have a bad scar on my leg from a previous attempt.  |
