| Seems the early run of Plaice on Chesil is over After one of the best couple of weeks for Chesil Plaice on record, it seems that the fun is over for the moment. To catch Plaice on Chesil at this time of year us very unusual. To have caught them in the numbers that they were being caught last week (confirmed 28 in a session, not me) is unheard of. Unfortunately the feast seems to be over. I have fished for the past 2 days and talked to loads of people all along the beach and the story is the same. 95% blank rate and the ones that are coming in are at extreme range (120yds plus). Yesterday produced a number of good fish around 4lb, but to day was blanks all round for almost everyone. I will keep you all up to date with the catch reports as I get them. __________________ Check my blog for a daily fishing forecast from Weymouth, Portland, Chesil Beach & Kimmeridge Bay. www.fishingtails.co.uk |
