New to SW and Fishing

Hi, I took up fishing last year and this year moved to South Somerset. Having been trying to find a decent place to fish but not had much success as I need a shortish distance from car to peg due to illness. The only one I have found so far has been in Mangerton, Dorset. Any suggestions please?

Having been talking to some locals I would be interested in trying beach fishing but would need to go with someone.

Look forward to hearng from anyone.

Hi Misty and welcome to the forum!

Your best bet is to look at the Get Hooked Guide:
http://www.gethooked.co.uk/where_to_fish

Click on the map roughly where you live and it will list some of the nearest fisheries.

Its a useful site.

Look for Kingcombe, Lyons gate & maybe Viaduct fisheries.

Good luck

Re: New to SW and Fishing

We have moved to Misterton which is about a mile from Crewkerne. Mangerton looked good as I could get reasonably close to the water. I have a lung condition which stops me from walking a great distance.

Thanks for the info.
