New to SW and Fishing Hi, I took up fishing last year and this year moved to South Somerset. Having been trying to find a decent place to fish but not had much success as I need a shortish distance from car to peg due to illness. The only one I have found so far has been in Mangerton, Dorset. Any suggestions please? Having been talking to some locals I would be interested in trying beach fishing but would need to go with someone. Look forward to hearng from anyone.

Re: New to SW and Fishing Hi Misty and welcome to the forum! Your best bet is to look at the Get Hooked Guide: http://www.gethooked.co.uk/where_to_fish Click on the map roughly where you live and it will list some of the nearest fisheries. Its a useful site. Look for Kingcombe, Lyons gate & maybe Viaduct fisheries. Good luck DB&DB Last edited by Devon Born & Dorset Bred; 03-05-2011 at 06:44 PM. Reason: Added a easy to reach fishery.

Re: New to SW and Fishing We have moved to Misterton which is about a mile from Crewkerne. Mangerton looked good as I could get reasonably close to the water. I have a lung condition which stops me from walking a great distance. Thanks for the info.
