| Hinkley Reef 18.02.11 Fished the "Bald Patch" 2 hours down and 2 back up, well not really as I never rate the ebb there due to the hot water being pumped into the Channel from the power station and so I just stood watching every one else blank for 2 hours but at least I got the spot that I wanted As the tide started to flood I put both rods out with lugg/ black lug combos and lugg/squid combos but both were tipped off with hermits that I'd gathered from the low water line. There were 3 lads from Plymouth fishing there, 1 of which had appeared in 2 or 3 of Henry Gilbys shows, and between them they managed 4 or 5 codling. I landed 2 to 3lb and lost another. Quite a bit of weed showing which is a pain on that venue. All in all not a bad day, made some new friends and had a lovely battered fillet for tea tonight - Happy Days! __________________ Species so far for 2012 Pike,Chub,Roach,Ruffe,Mackeral,Plaice, LSD,Pout |
