What's happening? and where to go?

Its been a long couple of months since I have been able to get out fishing, I was ill with flu at the end of November, which put me out of action for a couple of weeks, then the snow came in and was to cold and unable to get out of the house. Then busy with the family over the Christmas weeks, the new year is here now and I have been so busy with college and work through January and now Febuary is nearing I am really going to make some time for my self and head out fishing this week, really need to kick of my Species hunt with some good fish.
So what I am asking is, who's been lucky enough to get out and hit the piers and shores around Weymouth and Portland recently and what spots are producing what; and what fish should I be targeting this time of year?
Is there Cod about any where? As really wanted a Cod for 2010 but missed out.
Any help would be great and if you don't want to give away any hot spots you could always PM me
