| North Somerset Rock mark Fished with my mate Gary today in the BC and he took me to his favourite local rock mark (which has to remain annonimous). It was a very small tide and we tried casting short to where the fish are normally to be expected but Gary landed 1 codling from there and didnt have a sniff so after a couple hours we decided to try and blast the baits out further and try and find some tidal pull. We found a nice bit of flow about 90yards out and placed our baits at that range which proved to be a wise move. We fished lug and lug squid combo on pulleys and managed to finish up with 8 or 9 codling in the 1.5 to 2.5lb range. It was an excellent day, I fished a new mark and Gary, even though he's fished it before, learned that it doesnt fish the same way at all on a small neap compared to how it fishes on the bigger tides and we caught codling! Happy days! Tight lines chaps and lets pray that the promised snow/ice comes and goes quickly! __________________ Species so far for 2012 Pike,Chub,Roach,Ruffe,Mackeral,Plaice, LSD,Pout |

| Re: North Somerset Rock mark Nicely done Nick! Always good to hear of Codling from the shore... It gives all us positive ones hope It confirms to us negative ones that they are never where we are, but us schizo's can't decide, so are looking froward to the snow... or maybe not. __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |
