Mounts Bay this weekend (11th/12th) Blank on Perranuthnoe and Penzance prom @ dawn and dusk with two rods, one a two-hook boom job on lug/mack/squid/limpet cocktails the other with a large tsunami lure (two of which I managed to lose ). Felt as though I gave myself every chance but there you go. Could be doing worse things. Cheers all .Fishy Steve, how did u get on bud? __________________ 2012: None Lifetime: Codling, Grey Gurnard, Mackerel, Pollock, Pouting, Wrasse, Scad.

Re: Mounts Bay this weekend (11th/12th) Will do, - my missus thinks I have a bit on the side. She does not believe anyone would stand around for hours in the cold and dark without catching anything. I desperately need a fish to prove her otherwise.!! No actually she is very good and just shakes her head in disbelief when I say I,m going again.

Re: Mounts Bay this weekend (11th/12th) I get exactly the same thing. It would be nice if I did actually catch something once in a while though. __________________ 2012: None Lifetime: Codling, Grey Gurnard, Mackerel, Pollock, Pouting, Wrasse, Scad.

Re: Mounts Bay this weekend (11th/12th) Yet another blank last night. Fed the best bait - lug, squid, bluey, mixture of all, tried pennel, running ledger - not even a bite. spent from 20.30 until 01.00 at clevedon last night. Apart from an amazing metoerite shower show just a cold butt to show. I reckon the cold has frozen the blighters to the ground!! Very frustrating really but I suppose it is part of fishing.

Re: Mounts Bay this weekend (11th/12th) Unlucky mate. There was a report a chap posted on the Wales Fishing Reports section about lots of cod from a boat off Penarth (nr Cardiff) this weekend gone which looked encouraging: Bristol Channel Cod ...12 Dec 2010 So they cant be that far away. Only so many times you can go out in the cold for a blank though isnt there. ![]() __________________ 2012: None Lifetime: Codling, Grey Gurnard, Mackerel, Pollock, Pouting, Wrasse, Scad.
