Re: good session on berry head

yeah plenty of them about now fishing from the platform mate best time for the cod i find is slack water to squid or peeler mainly around the 30cm size but a few pushing a better size just a welcome sight to see them coming out of the darkness at last lol

Re Berry head

To gain access with a vehicle you need to be disabled and have a magnetic card to lower the barrier. That costs £30 a year. persoanly I think it stinks charging the disabled, considering Berry Head had 4 million from the lottery recently and access for the disabled has up to now been free. After all it does belong to us, the people.
I emailed the boss of the trust that runs it and complained bitterly telling him he should be ashamed. He phoned me up and he was most arrogant explaining that the road down to the platform is expensive to maintain. There are few places for the disabled to fish in this area, Hopes Nose is beyond my capacity.

Re: good session on berry head

it is a joke and i understand that hopes nose for you would be a no way as its dangerous at the best of times considering the only 2 real good marks in torbay are the nose and the head 30 quid is a joke be better to try and get a group of people together to fish there and split the cost of the card. NOT that i condone the price and farce of needing one in the first place.

Re: good session on berry head

I wish it were that simple but they have that one covered, the disabled perso has to be in the vehicle and only 2 maybe 3 other occupants. You could try a syretch limo with 30 mates inside! but matbe that viscious rising bollard would rise before the limo has got over it! I can imagine 30 verticle fishermen trying to disembark the car with peelers and rag worms dripping down on them.

Better solution would be...

A gov surplus chieftan tank (just ride over the damn bollard.

A hot air balloon (mind out with those loose hooks)

Or more sensibly get there by boat (hopes nose too).
