| Lilstock Fished the pipe today with my mate Gary 2 1/2 upto and over high water. We wernt too optomistic when we arrived as the place was like a mill pond! We put the baits out only to have the hooks stripped in minutes but an hour later Garys rod tip started to rattle and then pulled firmly down. What ever was on the end started to run against the tide and was putting a fair old bend in the rod but unfortunately the unseen fish dropped off about 50 yards out........ so we'll never Know! That was the only action of the sesh but nevermind I'd never fished the pipe before so it was an eye opener for me, certainly need to be able to put a lead out a fair way over high water, thank god for rotten bottoms lol! Off out on a new mark tomorrow over low so hope to be able to report on some success. __________________ Species so far for 2012 Pike,Chub,Roach,Ruffe,Mackeral,Plaice, LSD,Pout     |
