| Re: Perranuthanoe 10th 11th & 12th Sep Interesting. Did you attach the rag to a lure or something? |

| fished to the right of the steps with a simple 2 hook rig on the bottom.. normally after dark .. i have tried various leadheads and jellies without luck in and around that area but would now go for bait every time lug,rag and sandeel ( live will outfish EVERYTHING ) are all deffo worth a try Steve __________________ Shore Species 2012: Dab-Flounder-Herring-L.S.Dogfish-Pouting-Shore Rockling-5 Bearded Rockling-Small Eyed Ray-Turbot-Whiting |

| Re: Perranuthanoe 10th 11th & 12th Sep So you have a weight at the end just like a feather rig would? I fished all over the beach from left to right (actually up to me waist in water mostly). Was a bit weedier than usual. Is Bass fishing a non-starter during daylight? |

The rig used basically has to keep the bait on or very near the bottom .. Bass have no eyelids and are unable to see anything above them so even a flowing trace with a small bullet lead will keep a nice bunch of worms hard on the deck.try and keep the hook below the lead and you wont go far wrong .. im pretty sure theres a chance of a ray in that cove too so will have to give it another go next time i'm down ![]() __________________ Shore Species 2012: Dab-Flounder-Herring-L.S.Dogfish-Pouting-Shore Rockling-5 Bearded Rockling-Small Eyed Ray-Turbot-Whiting |

| Re: Perranuthanoe 10th 11th & 12th Sep So you arent necassarily needing huge casts then? And do you just leave the bait on the bottom? This is very interesting as I was bought up a couple of miles from that beach but never fished it as my old man was strictly a float and stopper man. I'm a complete novice as far as this type of beach fishing is concerned TBH. |

| Re: Perranuthanoe 10th 11th & 12th Sep This is all very helpful stuff. Much appreciated. Shame I wasted £14 on dexter wedges one of which I propelled 75 yrds into the sea on its own with an overzealous cast. ![]() |

![]() try casting at different distances but you certainly don't need any effort put into it .. leave your bait out for 15 minutes or so , then retrieve and change it - its never worth throwing the same washed out bait back in . look for gulleys , groins or other features and put your bait there if possible Steve __________________ Shore Species 2012: Dab-Flounder-Herring-L.S.Dogfish-Pouting-Shore Rockling-5 Bearded Rockling-Small Eyed Ray-Turbot-Whiting |
