Re: chesil

Fished Buton Bradstock on Saturday night, but there wasn't much about other than the usual suspects (Mackie, pout, doggies & silver eels.)

Re: chesil

Hi, we have been down to Chesil several times this year, not a thing was taken. There is a trawler based in West Bay that drags its gear within casting distance of the shore. A local diver told me that the sea bed has been distroyed. I may have to find a new mark now.

Re: chesil

An update on the fishing boat off Chesil Bay, I was there six weeks ago, a new tactic is now being used, about 15 fishermen were on the beach as the high tide rose up. Half an hour later the boat started deploying a gill net as the tide was about to turn, the length was hundereds of metres. This could turn people away from the area, the skipper may have to earn a crust but the tourist industry may suffer as a result.

Re: chesil

Chesil never fishes well after Christmas.

You will need to wait until at least mid March now.
