| Ringstead report Last week fished from Ringstead, on a mate's boat. Targeting some mackerel for a party on the weekend, we ventured out for a few hours looking for new marks for the new GPS/Fish finder just purchased. We always travel light on the boat to keep things easy. Setting up our spinning rods with feathers and a 2oz weight. Dropped over the side, to straight away produce a string of 4 mackerel. Then we stuck into a some loverly pollack, using the feathers. So this was marked on the GPS. My mate changed to a bullet lead & jelly worm, but this didnt produce. Whilest I was still catching on each drift over the mark, with Feathers. We moved to just off Osmington and tried for some more Mackerel, but struck into this:  It then got a little rough and we made our way back in! Which was fun! The Carpark and Road leading to the beach are privately owned, so charges are fair. £5.00 all day £2.00 after 17:00 £70.00 season ticket There is a cafe/shop in the carpark, within a short distance from the beach.     |
