new passage,

arrived late and fished the last 1/2 hour or so of the flood over high & an hour or so down .
the tide was for 18.00 or so, it was a middleing tide of 11.4m.
wind was n/e light but gusty & damn cold.

the sun was occasionally bright, the showers slight & the fishing shyte.

squid/lug/mackerell were employed on both pulley & 2ook flapper rigs but to no avail, hartley missed a bite and the slight tremble that indicated a knock on my rod was left to develop into a double figure thornie take,
but what ever it was just nicked the head off my squid.

things were dire but only ashley resorted to mackerel feathers, which unsurpriseingly failed,
in water that,( and always does), resemble oxtail soup
