First small-eyed ray

Went to witches point in south wales on monday. We had the usual bunch of doggies each, and my 1st ever small eyed, which was the intended target.

Killer baits in the coloured water was double sandeel and ragworm cocktails.

Re: First small-eyed ray

nice one

the rays are doing well on there at the moment.

fished it tonight with mrg2000 and spahill and we had 5 rays upto 7lb...and more dogs than you could shake a stick at. we used double sandeel and squid wrap.

were you on the big ledge furthest from the point...if so we fished the exact spot.

next time your up here, give us a shout and we'll proably tag along...or at the least tell you how its fishing compared to other spots.

Re: First small-eyed ray

Tell me about it. we couldn't be bothered walking around either and went for it straight over the top. You can walk around by following the concrete road passed the walled gardens and then taking a right turn...it takes 10 minutes longer but isn't half as knackering
