| BC Today (low water) Fished the same area as tuesday evening but this time down on the low water reef. Went to a mark that has produced a load of thornies for my mate and I in the past and I can say without fear of contradiction that the rays are not in yet! We fished whole squid on pennel pulleys 2 down/ 1 1/2 back up and were plagued by small codling from the time we started to the point of having to pack up. We caught a few of these "nuisances" but in the main we were having our baits "mashed up" by them. Will leave the mark alone now until we get a steady rise in temperature as obviously the rays are still out in deeper water. Although a little disapointed not to have achieved our target species we had a great day out and its always good to be fishing! |
