First report in a long time!

Hi all,

Went down to St Johns today after some flounder, 4.5 metre tide at 2.45 with a 7-9mph easterly wind

Got there and was fishing for half 10 with 2 rods, one with a normal running ledger and the other with a 2 hook running ledger with rag on both rods

Got nothing til 20 minutes before high tide, then reeled in this flounder weighing 1lb 15oz



Went quiet again for a while, then 10 mins after the tide started to go out i had another at 1lb 12 which was actually bigger than the first but so thin



Good day for an easterly wind and what I hope is the first of many this year!

where abouts in st john do you fish??never heard bout that spot? will have to try it there,let me no how you get on,gud luck!!

hi i walk out near the end just before the channel starts going further out, of reach to cast with light rods i.e carp rods,if you carry on walking along beach you will come across a fallen tree/bush along the beach i was fishing 50yards down from there opposite you is hms raleigh across water.my mate had two flounders biggest one was 1lb 11ozs.
