| Hopes nose After my first ever thread saying how i had only caught mackerel in the summer and was struggling now it was autumn i had a successful day thanks to a fellow freindly sea angler i met at hopes nose. Although easy to most of you on here, he taught me how to tie a proper 2 hook pulley rig loaded with rag i was well away. I caught 4 dogfish and a couple whiting whiting which i was and still am thrilled with. The other guy i met "scott" was reeling in dog fish for fun must have had 30 at around 1 and a half to 2lb and around 10 whiting. He also caught only his second john dorry which i think im right in saying is quite rare down there. All in all it was a great day and it seems to be fishing well and a big thanks to Scott who taught me how to fish. ![]() |
