i sometimes fish off the island. Been a bit quiet there the last couple of times but theres usually some mackeral to be had on tinsels. If you want to put some bait out we have had most success with sand eel but i reckon wrag is always worth a go off there. Nice sandy bottom there.

Just been to the island for a swift fish. Pulled in a fair few mackeral but had to fight for them with 2 massive seals. I landed 3 out of the 10 or so i hooked. Also caught a massive sand eel.

that will be a Launce, really worth freelining that for a bass, bit of a nightmare with the seals about tho, bleddy vermin.

i live about 10 miles from st ives and i have heard there is a few bass been caught out there recently and some flounder and plaice !! maybe try some rag or sandeel?
