| 24/8/09 Minehead Got out with Mr Webber again and headed down past Porlock bay in search of Bream, Triggers and Bass - found the Bream and Triggers but the water was to dirty to drift for the Bass - one of the new lads - Mark - had a pretty good day - a nice Bream around the 2 lbs mark - a couple of Triggers and several smoothies - the fish seemed pretty hard to find on the fairly high tide and most of us struggled to catch - did have a nice Whiting of 1 lbs 3 ozs - nice fish to catch in the Winter months but strange to catch in the Summer months :blink: had a fair few species on the boat but not in any great numbers - species caught were Whiting, Bream, Triggers, Conger, Blenny, Wrasse, Poor Cod, Smoothies (Starry & Common), Topelets, Pouting, Lsd's, Ling, Scad and a small Lobster- not really a good tide for fishing but good to get out again B)     |

| Re: 24/8/09 Minehead I didn't take any pic's meself as most of it was run of the mill fish - one chap did take some of the smoothies and the Triggers - will try and get some to put on here. |

| Re: 24/8/09 Minehead Cheers for putting up the pictures Doug - Mark certainly had a good day - he must have had 5 or 6 Smoothies amongst all the other bits and bobs - not forgetting the mega-ling  - look forward to seeing you lads again on the 23rd - should be good for some of what we missed this time |

| Re: 24/8/09 Minehead Allways enjoy getting afloat on the Bristol Channel - cracking scenery for a backdrop and usually some reasonable fishing to be had or various species - we had 14 on the day and they had 15 species the day before so it can't be bad can it. |
