Info for chesil beach fishing

Hi i am looking to fish chesil beach at the portland end of the beach as opposed to the fleet end of the beach.
I will try and explain what i am looking for & if it makes any sense when reading.
Can you advise on the beach conditions i,e weed right up by the rocks etc or best to fish by end of slipway from the path etc best to float rather than ledger.
Just trying to get a feal of where to setup.
I have added a photo of where i am trying to explain.

Re: Info for chesil beach fishing

i either fish just left or right of the boat winches,
there feels like a weed bed (kelp) about 40-50yds out here so big casts get snagged unless you know what your doing.
float fish - good.
ledger good if you avoid the snags.
to the left of the boats it gets shallower & more snaggy, to the right cleaner & deeper.

i used to fish behind the little ship inn butthat damn bank kills me these days.

Re: Info for chesil beach fishing

the boats get left on the beach, the winches are on top the wall

p/s, there's likely to be large rafts of floating weed & maybee other debris after a storm
