 called tails, I lost as per thread decisions decisions decisions decisions, sat 15th in the end it was a toss of the coin job ( heavily weighted on one side mind you  ) and the thonie hunt wonand so it was that Baggie, Si and myself went up to Burnham on Mud, fishing the Lower light again for the thornies( tide should have been spot on after this calm spell   )  got there 7.30 and fished till midnight we set up first past the light towards the bend , but the mud was really deep and unstable, so moved back to below the light  you can just see the 1 snag on beach( the engine) on left of pic I fished 90% 4/0 pulley pennel hooks with sandeel/makkie/squid and 10% 2 hook flapper size 2/0 with sandeel result = NOT A TOUCH!!!   Si managed a few pin whiteing on smaller baits and hooks baggie unfortunately same as me ( sorry for dragging you up there mate)we did get a nice sunset though  followed by rain  foundout the only other guy fishing had fared no better, but was actually one of those that helped weigh in baggies 10lb bass at lilstock( small world) so dire all arround really best bite of night was finding the burnham kebab shop Thats it for sea fishing for a week now i'm off to fish the darkside and a few puddles filled with fish that cant escape ,as i really need to see a rod bend dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives Last edited by pingu; 08-16-2009 at 04:03 PM.     |

| Re: called tails, I lost Sounds like you had as much fun as we did last night,,, Fished down plymouth area for a conger or ray and all we had all night (between 3 people and 7 rods) was 1 rockling and a poor cod. Left exeter at 5 in the evening and got home at 5 in the morning !!! |
