Budleigh was a bit rubbish!

Well - went down. Could tell no one was catching anything, but despite casting 30 yards further than my nearest "rival" I had nothing. Stayed until it got pretty much dark then packed up.

I sure hope the mackerel come back some time!

You'll have to go a bit further than Budleigh then mate....

Not strictly true actually, I've heard that there are good Bass to be had at Budleigh, but I've spent more than a few hours down there and only once have I seen anything bigger than a schoolie, and that certainly wasn't on my rods. Still, better anglers than me say it's worth a try so.....

Yeah - willing to travel. Need to find out where to get the best baits though as as it stands, mackerel alone won't cut it.

i had trouble with mackerel today actually. i was fishing a spot that normally is infestided with mackerel. but todaydiddnt catch anything. i saw one jump but apart from that nothing
