holiday to lynmouth any tips welcome!!

I am heading to lynmouth, Devon in a couple of weeks for a family holiday and I am hoping to get a quick fishing session in. Has anyone got tips for good locations, times, baits etc. I would also be grateful for the name of a good tackle shop nearby to pick up some bait.
