| Lyme Regis - mackerel from the Cobb Hi all I'm planning on taking my 6-year-old to Lyme early next week (Mon/Tues) as the weather looks promising. I'm hoping to introduce her to the gentle art of catching one's own dinner - any up-to-date reports on the prospects of catching a few mackerel from the north Cobb wall? Best state of the tide? Planning on spinning with light tackle (carp rod) - not feathers, we only want a few for the pot! Thanks Gadget ![]() |

| Re: Lyme Regis - mackerel from the Cobb If Lyme has been anything like round here, the mackerel has been noticable by their absence this summer. Hopefully we should see them soon before it gets too late, but I'm not holding my breath. Shame as I've bought a vacume parker this summer to fill my bait freezer, but so far not enough mackerel to use it!!! ![]() __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check.
