| An eve at West Bexington Feeling that soem seas would be good for the soul, we headed down to the coast, we had a few thoughts about a few other places we had not fished before, Branston being one, but in the end we chose to go somewhere we knew, and therefore had a bit of confidence in. So Bexington it was. Also i have friends who live there. Arriving just as the parking became cheap, there were quite a few folks set up, but I don't mind a walk, and the shingle is good exercise. We went right and wound up at a spot about 80yds of a marker we had fished last time. Fishing was hard, not as quick as we had hoped. Someone to our left began to get the odd mackie, but they were getting their feathers out further, maybe its time I bought a decent beach rod. Eventually JP managed to get some mackies, we had a couple of small fish from our last trip, but for bait they are best to be used fresh. I found the fishing to be very hard, just not my day I guess. I did manage to scratch out a few scads. One nudging about 1lb, so not too bad. Here's a few pics. ![]() JP working the water. ![]() Sun going down ![]() When JP bought these buggers in, he commmented, 'how is your sense of humour, at that point still not a scad. |
