| Dodging showers on the channel Setting off down the M-Ways to the BC soon. In search of Ray & Conger, will be happy if a doggie comes out to play though. Will post results this eve. | Re: Dodging showers on the channel Cracking day weatherwise, red faced & missed all the showers. Fishing was nothing special, Lilstock by the pipe 4 up 3 ish down. Started off with one of these on a fillet of Mackerel.  Is it a baby smutt or baby tope? It had teeth... Would appreciate an ID for the species hunt  .as the tide turned I snagged a doggie of similar size on mackerel stuffed squid on a long pulley pennel. 2 hours into the Ebb Karen caught her birthday fish. Though she didn't want to pose with it. cant think why they are great to hold.  Left late enough to miss the traffic jam on the M5. | Re: Dodging showers on the channel Prune wine is the worst so far, still quaffable, but it just would not clear. Surprisingly the prunes famous qualities do not make themselves felt at all, though one bottle makes for a bad head. Something to do with free radicals I believe.
