Just 1 mackerel again at Budleigh!

But conditions weren't favourable I think. Was getting a bit warm from 10am and not sure if the bright BRIGHT sun was not helping. Also tide was a little weaker this time of the month.

Still the one mackerel I did pull out was a BEAUT! And it's currently sat in the bottom of my belly. Nice meaty fish indeed and my biggest macker of the season so far. Water was looking clear, but to be honest I am still NOT entirely sure of the best times/conditions that bring mackerel into shore.

well done on the mackie, normally the fishing is better during cloudy days but still very warm, maybe a bit of wind to seems to be good. your right mackerel dont like super bright light as it is today.hope it helps
