| Last visit to the BC Fished the BC near Burnham yesterday. Had a conger type bite that didnt develop, I've noticed on the smaller tides the straps dont seem to bite quite as confidently so I left the rod in the rest hoping that the tip would pull round - it didnt. No more action until 30 mins into the ebb when the rod rattled back into life but this time in proper style, giving me the confidence to strike and set the 4/0 Big Mouth hook adorned with rag and squid. ![]() Sorry for the crap "self taker" The sun was so bright I couldnt see what was on the screen, hence the p1$$ed off expression lol |

On a big enough tide you can fish from the top of the bank (where the photo was taken). On the day in question I was at he bottom of the flood bank but it was still comfy although like any boulders you cant trust em! |
