short session at Town quay

Had plenty of bait left from Saturday, which would have been a shame to waste, so I decided on a short session at Town Quay last night.

Arrived at 6pm and was quite surprised how many anglers there were
Found myself a free spot, enough space between the anglers to both sides of me (didn't want to injure anyone with my flying leds), set up on rod one was a wishbone rig baited with rag, 2nd rod with a pennel rig baited with mackerel fillet, dropped straight down of the quay, hoping a bass might like my free offer.

Weather was fantastic, the water was like a millpond....so maybe a chance of a sole.

But Town quay was in a pout mood again......not even a pout lifebait could attracted the bass.

Caught a mahooooosive spider crab on the mackerel fillet though....I hate them things.

High water was around 10ish and even the pout bites dried up.
stuck with it until 11pm before it was time to head home.

Nothing exciting but was nice to be out.

"You've got to be in it too win it" that big bass will show up one day.
Let face it you could of had more bait if you liked.

I'm love with Twidders..........

7HT mag that is. I'm an fixed spool man but the 7ht mag castes great, run's like wind and is easy to control. Saturday night started with mag's on 7 after just 3 cast's wound it back to 2.5 and let one fly with on problem at all. Will diffenly be going on the Xmas list.
