Exmouth Nice wrasse ! 17:00 - 19:00

Went to exmouth tonight, Personally I blanked again, the guy next to me was chucking his 5ft cheap as chips rod 2 meters into the water with a rag worm attached on a single hook, The next thing I know he starts shouting at me 'how do I get this out' thinking he had hooked himself or something, I bend over the docks edge and see this wrangling on his line,




Gave him a bit of advice as to how to reel it in and let him use my pliers to remove the hook..... Only been fishing two weeks and i'm already giving people advice lol.

NIce looking wrasse there, normally pick the smaller ones up on worm.

Its hard to say about the size as theres nothing to compare it against, but looking at the gut, and the depth of the fish and of course its stubby tail would say maybe around the 4lb mark (dont take my word for it though). either way pretty looking fish

Nice Wrasse.

Always a good idea to put something as a scale in a photo. I use a knife or my rod/reel or sometimes even myself, so a guage of perspective is seen.

The a wonderfully coloured wrasse

Plenty of good wrasse in there. Just drop a rag worm right down the wall and you'll have bites straight away at the right stages of the tide (my profile pic is of a wrasse caught like that). It's simple fishing just a hook, hook length and ball weight but the fish can take some battling to get out of the snags!! Pingu is the expert on it and showed me the ropes.
