another stupid session, dartmouth last night

4pm yesterday afternoon and a chance meet with si and a quick chat found me acting irrationally and joining taff, stu and si from the club on a late night trip dartmouth way hunting ray/conger or huss

we were to be fishing someone near the castle

got over there by 9.15 pm ( good run down) after parking somewhere near there frantic phone calls were had between our group and someone in the knowas too where to fish( none of us been there before and acting on a hunch)

and confusion reigned

so we yomped up and down ramps, up and down roads, through woods and eventually over a 'kin high fence/wall to find somewhere to fish,all this time watching the tide come in, I even i found myself slideing down a hill on my fat ass at one point as couldnt stand up down the "slight " incline we were going down, all of us were of cause travelling light with big shakespeare boxes on backpacks

in the end we wound up on a lovelly platform and managed to start fishing at last at 10.20 but the fish didnt appreciate our efforts and stayed away with Si getting a doggie right at the death to break the blank( did manage i good rod bending bite which i missed with style but obviously made us fish on later than expected)

and getting back up the path was even funnier with taff nearly wetting himself with my efforts at clearing a 5 foot fence we found on the way back

a good night with club mates as ever, a nice place that i want to go back too as sure can throw up a good fish next time the fish will play( and we will find out where to go before hand properly)

and will make sure when getting back at 4 am in morning there isnt an alarm at 7am for work ( the can of red bull before drive home keeping me awake as well when all i wanted to do by then was sleep

Saw Taff last night at Tescos just as he was heading off to Battery Point.. That lad is proper insane! Still I reckon you've been out more than him this week!!!

nice try mate ,i know what its like fishing dartmouth !! there are one or two good spots for rays but as you also found out most of the spots are really hard to get too!! i wish i was there just to see you doing the downhill
