Question amy info gladly taken as I fancy the channel next week but where

I'm really considering a trip up to the north coast next week to try for something different from dogs and rockling such as conger or thornies
I know the channels fishing cr*p but the south aint much better

its got to help that its a massive spring tide midweek( or is it too big??)

anyone know where might be worth a chuck was thinking, minehead/blue anchor way

or if anyone has a good spot south for these species i'm up to persuation of where to go, as these are my big 2 targets for this year as never caught either

cheers all

dave

i dont know what others think but iv nearly always found you dont fish the channel when theres an easterly wind and dont bother fishing after massive tides for some reason, but that is just my opinion

hello Pingu,
If you fancy coming down my way your best bet would be East Portlemouth for thornies. Devils Point for conger although thier has been a few decent conger caught on the Hoe and Mount Batten Pier. And theres always the odd thornie coming out the Tamar. Good luck on where ever you end up.

TIGHT LINES

Now that sounds like a plan... I've been banging on to Dave about a trip down to Plymouth for ages....

What baits & tides would you recomend Rebel? I understand Prawn is a killer down your way? Does it have to be live, or will we get away with frozen?
