Re: amy info gladly taken as I fancy the channel next week but where

East Portlemouth is in salcombe estuary, its where all the big thornies are bein caught, or should i say where they were bein caught!!!

We have held club comps down there 3 times last month and only one was caught, ive spent plenty of times on tht beach waitin for one bite but to no avail. Its really a hit or miss beach.

Morning Pingu / Baggie Rich,
Prawns always a good bait for thornies. Also me and the lads i fish with have had a bit of sucess with small mackrel fillets. Black lug and and a few crabs are a good idea to bring to.
Smaller tides fish best. Hope this helps on your thornie hunt. Good luck chaps.
