Christening boys new rod

Hi Fisherfolk,It's that time again.Well were do we start. We bought one of our boys a new rod.So at 6 am this morning ( When are we going fishing. Over & over again)So we gave in at 11am.Went to town for a bag of rag & had some squid & sandeel left over from last trip. Finally ready at 1 pm,So arrived at mevagissey harbour & got rods set up with rag & squid.Fotget the sandeel.(Silly old git),Nevermind.Son got the rod set up & was enjoying casting.Nothing for a hour or two.A few more fisherfolk turned up.Held the rod for my son,While he went for a p*ss.& bang the rod bent in two.Thought sh*t it's going to snap. Then jensen turned up & grabbed the rod.& i pulled it up with my hands.A pb wrasse 1 1/2 lb.So very pleased indeed.Every body else packing up & going home blanking. So carried on & it was getting dark.& the pollack turned up to save the day.We had 5 in a hour.So very happy.Biggest being 1 1/2 lb.So we packed up at 5:30 pm. great day out with the kids fishing & great weather to go with it.Did better than nik a.k.a.(rebel 1752) Only joking mate. Thanks for reading,All the best marty,Bailey,Jensen.

P.s. pictures on the link first 5 pics. Thanks again marty.

Re: Christening boys new rod

Nice one Marty, looks like you and your boys had a great time with plenty of fish to get them hooked. Just seen your photos very good they are to, Noticed you had your showgun nicely placed covering the sign telling you, you cant fish of the end of the harbour good thinking!
I will have to pop down your way again soon to do a bit ov fishing from one of the beaches down there, they look good for bass.

TIGHT LINES
