Feeling left out

Well after knowing Mike was going to have a nice days fishing at the Stour yesterday, while I was working hard, I decided to meet up with Lee, Paul and Matty at TQ after work for a short fishing session.

At 4pm I received a phone call from Lee telling me that he can't make it, due to Lou given birth to Emily and that he'll ask Payl to get my rag for me.

Arrived at TQ around 6pm, after stopping of at Tesco to grab a bite to eat, Paul and Matty arrived shortly after.

I was fishing two rods, one with one up one down, 1/0 hooks with worm Second rod went out with a pennel rig 3/0 hook, sprat as bait.

Not much happened the first hour but then the whiting and the pouting starting to become a nuisance and so did the wind, as it was picking up drastically.

Not as much as a nibble on the sprat, so I chanced to squid tipped with rag.

Again, the bass weren't playing, still I managed to get even more pouting on that rod.

Paul did manage a couple of schoolies and Matty was plagued by pouting and whiting too.

Left about 11.15pm and left the guys to continue their bass hunt.

Was great to get out during the week for a change, thought I would be exhausted today but I felt great.
