| 16/02/08 Shurton Bars Reef Yesterday was a one rod club match at Shurton Bars Reef, one hour down three hours up, we started to fish at 19.00. to start of it was very slow not a bite then one hour after low water i had my first bite, i started to reel it in but lost it just at my feet. so i baited my rod up again, and cast out, Steve from the club next to me had the first fish which was a codling of just over 2 pound. There was just half an hour left, so i reeled in and baited up again, with just 10 min to go my line went slack, so i started reeling in and out came a 3 pound codling and won me the match (my first win with the club  ).there was only two fish caught. It was a great nights fishing, but very very cold.    |
