Somerset Reefs - 10/2/08

Fished the reefs yesterday afternoon over low. Plenty of Anglers out and from the pipe to the point, must have been 20 or so.

It was rubbish, only heard another angler hasone small conger. My rod tapped a couple of times and baits stayed untouched. Fished rag / lug / squid and peeler and never had such a bad session.

One joy though - weather was like full on spring and only lost 4 leads all session. These I replaced with another 4 I picked up along the low water line.

Roll on the arrival of the hounds. Cod this year, where did they go.

2 recent sessions out from Clevedon in a boat - 0 cod.

Fish have been patchy up the North Coast mate, one or two here and there, all the Cod went to Chesil this year, must have fancied a holiday! Have you tried Greysands, thats done a few, as far as I know.
What fish i've heard of out on the reefs have been chunks though. Good luck if you go again.
