Hi guys just to let you know that me and my mate fished minehead just to the left of the harbour (near the lifeboat launch) last night on a spur of the moment thing instead of spending the night in the boozer ... it was a big tide (10.4) i think high tide just b4 8pm we got set up i had a pennel rig and a 3 hook clip down going my mate was using a three hook clip down and some sort of home made concoction that he loves, it was a bit breezy and there wernt that many people fishing surprisingly.
We soon found out why there wernt many fishing as it was terrible i had one bite all night which turned into a pout posssibly smaller than the bait on the pennel (greedy so & so) nothing on the clip down and my mate didnt even have a bite all night. the baits were coming back washed out but pretty untouched really .... so the dismal fishing on this part of the bristol channel continues grrrrrrrr. we are thinking of heading south coast (chesil or somewhere) soon so if someone down that area reads this, and knows of somewhere that is fishing reasonably well your input would b welcome many thanx

Sounds like my Isle of Wight trip last september, brilliant bait that would have been posted on ebay as "Mint condition, not interfered with" . I have that many tshirts on this one . Better fishing next time.
