Perren Sands area in late May, anyone got any info please?

Hi all ,

I'm off with the family to Perren Sands Haven park (May bank holiday). As usual it's a family holiday with the chance of some fishing (isn't it love?) so does anyone know anything about the local area.
I'd apreciate any tips and you don't need to worry about me depleting yor local stocks too much, well at all probably.
Cheers.

It's called the (flycellers).macky,garfish,pollock,wrasse.The other side of newquay about 10 miles from perran sands is watergate bay.Big bass & rays. You can get bait from newquay sea angling center, sand eel do very well down here.Across the road from burger king.Or you could try mevagissey were i live on the south coast about 20 miles away.Hope this helps & enjoy your stay. All the best martin.

Martin, you have made my day.
Thanks for that , the magic words BASS and CORNWALL.
I've only been down there once and being a soppy sentimental old Welsh sod I felt totally at home. Especially when I had the great luck to listen to an old Cornishman telling me that I was totally mispronouncing Porthkerris. Made me laugh for months, having told an English woman years ago that Llanelli was not pronounced lan el i. Cheers and tight lines.
