Sand Point 9th Jan

Fished the low water up at Sand Point with Shads and his old man - who hasnt been out with us for ages !!
No bites for about 3 hours except one little rattle on my rod which I managed to miss so we decided to walk down the coast a bit and fish the slipway - baits were rag, squid and lug plus one unlucky crab that I caught that Tony demolished in 2 mins and chucked out !!!

Anyway after an afternoon of fishing hard with good baits Tony ( Shads old man ) bloody managed 2 fish fingers - well one was a rockling - both titchy and he didnt even know they were there- still - what a tammy git !! We managed - errrrr - NUFFIN !!

Whats the point of fishing - well to be honest it was brilliant company, good to be out in the fresh air and watching the night draw in, and as we trudged back across the rocks and muddy fields I have to say that fishing is just superb. We may not have managed anything at all, but we have good friendship, plenty of banter and mickey taking and a bloody good afternoon out away from work - and that makes it all worth while in my opinion

Nice one Tommy, shame you didn't get into any fish, but at least you had a good time
