| Blue Anchor 30 December 2007 Well I managed to get off my backside this morning and go down to Blue Anchor for a few hours. High tide was about 10.30 and I started fishing about 9am. I began with whole Squid on a 3/0 pulley but I may as well have had a bare hook. Nothing doing at all. As each hour passed I tried smaller and smaller hooks and bait. I'd reached size 6 carp hooks and tiny bits of Squid when I finally caught this:  The dear little thing coudn't have been much more than 6 inches long but it avoided a blank and if I'm correct that it's a Three Bearded Rockling it represents a last ditch new species for the South West Duo. Although it was incredibly hard going in my usual perverse manner I thoroughly enjoyed my few hours.
