| watchet 22/11 hey all. well nowt to report really!  fished 13.30 till 18.00 (ht 16.25) and danny (the machine) caught a doggie! woo hoo!! really tough conditions though, heavy wind and a big swell (which we thought would be good).still, on a plus side. we hade a cheap crab pot and got about 30 good size shrimp for tea.  sorry theres no more to read, it really was that bad!! cant wait till me knees better to do some proper sea fishing again.......................................... cheers, steve __________________ fishing is a pleasure,to catch something is an added bonus     |

it was just a fold up crayfish/crab pot about £6, from a well known auction site. bait was nice smelly herring and mackrel. watchet harbour is the only place i've used it, both inside and outside the harbour.but i would think they work anywhere,breakwaters,peirs,harbours etc. also great if you want any hardback green crabs for fishing, must have released over 100 yesterday!! two little tips, 1)if you release the crabs back near the pot, you'll catch them again! 2)they were meant for freshwater so wash the zips with freshwater after they been in the sea or they brake like mine did!  i have to keep tying them up now kinda fun to mess about with if the fishings slow!  cheers __________________ fishing is a pleasure,to catch something is an added bonus |
