Fishing the white horses with the kids

After a lot of blanks over the last few weeks,thought is was time to get out & have a session. So packed up the rods & headed to a local beach near mevagissey.Got there at 4:30 pm just after low tide set up two rods on pennel rigs,there was a big swell brewing.I was using sandeel & squid cocktail.After a slow start, caught a ray about 2 1/2 lb, An hour later a schoolie bass about 12 inchs. On the other rod a doggie about 2 lb.Then it started to slow down. The weather was starting to get bad so decided to pack up. And got another doggie about 1 1/2.It was a enjoyable evening & got home at 7:30 pm.With the wind in my sails decided to go out the following morning (sunday 7am) with the kids, The swell was big about 5 feet high. Same rigs as the night before & bait after about 1/2 an hour bang fish on. Nice bass about 2 1/2 lbs. Then after an hour bang another bass about the same.So then packed up & whent home & had some breakfast a very good few hours with the kids.All the best martin see some pics at the link below.
