Thumbs down 9th blank of the year.

with gear and bait sorted i hit the road and steamed off down the m4 for the severn bridges for a change, just couldn't be arsed to go anywhere on the south coast this week.
though it was a small tide(11m) i thought something might show, fished 8pm-midnight with high water about 10pm.

i fished to the left for a change about 100yds s/w of the cottages, on the boulders near the point.

rigs;- 6/0 pulleys, 2/0 pennel flappers, big baits and not so big baits.

baits;- blk lug/ rag from sunday (still alive) /squid and bluey.

sea;-flat calm, wind n/w but went southerly.

dense fog rolled in from wales about 11pm.

note to self
1- don't drop anything important down between the boulders, 7ht, unlit headlamp, carkeys etc,
fortunately i only dropped my lamp and after a difficult retrieval made damn sure i dropped nothing else.

note to self
2- if you turn off your lamp for more than 5mins the damn rats nick your bait or baited rigs , and they get dragged down between boulders never to be seen again.

bites-1

fish-none,
bloody impact sheild didn't release,
note to self
3- retie all my rigs with larger beads to trip the sheild, large baits pull microbeads through the slot in the sheild.

00,10am- tie resturaunt found shut.

00.50am a350 kebab van found open- the high point of the night

Re: 9th blank of the year.

Unlucky Gord. Next time mate.

Oh and thank god for Kebabs. Many a crap night saved by them I can tell you. Random meat, garlic mayo and a few bits of rag worm for good measure. Mmmmm. Tasty.
