| Minehead 23/10/07 Went to Minehead today. High tide was at 5:15pm, we started to fish at 3:00pm, i had two rod's out, one with a whole squid and the other with rag and black lug, About one hour before high tide i got a nice bite on my rag and lug which got me a bass of about a pound and a half. Then as the tide started to go out the weed turned up . As i was baiting up, my line on the rod with the sqiud went slack, i reeled in as fast as i could to tighten the line but no fish. but i'm happy that i got the bass and i did'nt blank. my mate next to me had two small bass and one codling of two pounds. |

| Re: Minehead 23/10/07 Like you say Ramsey, the first objective has got to be to avoid the blank, and as long as I manange that I'm generally happy. Maybe you'll get the big cod next time mate ![]() __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check. Speckled Hen. Check. Bait…… BAIT! Sh*t, where’s the bait? |
